IBM and AIGA are on a mission to bring human-centered design to thousands experiences and millions of people. To accomplish this goal, IBM has launched a new design center based in Austin, Texas, where designers, engineers, and product managers collaborate on software product design that impacts our business and our world in ways that matter and endure. AIGA has partnered with IBM to scale this practice to over 70 chapters and 25,000 members across the country.
Join us as we take a deep dive into IBM Design Thinking with Oen Hammonds and Blake Helman to help solve a real user-centered scenario. There will be very little sitting and a lot of active collaboration with multiple skill sets and disciplines. We ask that you are willing to participate in both small and large group brainstorming, collaborating, ideating and making sessions. You’ll leave with something you can use to tackle real design problems of all types back in your work. Or, you’ll at least have fun and meet some new people—that’s something too.
Free with Sunday Day or full Weekend pass, pre-registration required. Get passes and pre-register at: https://www.anchoragemuseum.org/programs/special-events/design-weekend/.
